Diane's Glazed Holiday Ham


Here is my secret for the perfect ham. Since most hams are fully cooked you don't want to dry them out when cooking. I like to just heat through. Most of the work is done the day before. Purchase a spiral cut ham. The day before, prepare and glaze the ham

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 2 Tablespoons molasses
  • Spiral cut ham

Directions

Mix the glaze, separate and brush in between all slices, cover ham and refrigerate overnight.
Remove the ham from the refrigerator in the morning (still wrapped) allowing it to come to room temperature. Baste again before cooking.

You can pat on more brown sugar before heating to get a crust.

Preheat oven to 350 and bake uncovered for 30 min.
