Southern California artist GENE uses recycled materials, such as refused latex house paint and pieces of dry wall to create his 'energetic' art. His energetic style and use of recycled materials combine to create paintings of the human spirit at play.

Drawing on inspiration from life's simple and natural movement, GENE moves energy into the images through wielding paint at the canvas creating with the energy of paint in motion.

He has studied Raku pottery, Chinese calligraphy and traditional animation which combined with his love of music and examination of the soul, manifest works of brilliant colors and dynamic gestures.

GENE has a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Redlands and lives in Orange with his family.
